Covering over 14 counties and assisting thousands of educators, students, and families, Prairie Lakes AEA needed a scalable solution to serve as a resource repository. The website required an intranet where members could communicate, in addition to providing a public domain for visitors with an abundance of information and news. The Job Board module is one way that Prairie Lakes AEA recruits employees, through an online application system and listings of current organizational job openings.
Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency (AEA9)
Founded by an Iowa legislative initiative, this organization serves over 50,000 students as a multi-faceted educational resource. In order to keep staff, students, and family updated on news and events, our team implemented the Newsletter module into the AEA9’s RainSongPro solution. Subscribers are provided with important information, with the option of searching the website’s archives for past newsletters.
Northwest Area Education Agency (AEA)
Providing higher standards of educational development and experience, Northwest AEA serves 36 public schools and 33 private schools in Northwest Iowa. One benefit that Northwest AEA offers through their website is the 2008-09 Directory of Services. This online PDF is an alphabetized yellow pages of different services accompanied by the staff name and contact information who work within each service department.
YPC/Greater Des Moines Young Professionals Connection
YPC gets involved in the Greater Des Moines community through social, civic, charitable, and professional activities, with the ultimate goal to attract and retain young people in the area. To promote their events and participation, YPC utilizes the event registration module.
Young Professionals of Iowa (YPIowa)
Advancing the interaction between professionals and Iowa, YPIowa encourages community outreach to create better living and work environments for young people in Iowa. YPIowa supports communication through the website via blogs, forums, resources and links, events calendar, and a members-only directory.
Young Professionals of Ames (YPA)
YPA promotes business, community, and leadership development within the young professional community in the Ames area. YPA needed a website that could appeal to existing and potential members as a hub of information regarding current activities and initiatives. YPA’s website uses a members’ intranet, newsletters, events calendars, awards, a member directory, and sponsor list, to help people get involved.
Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS)
SWCS has a large responsibility to boost their grassroots outreach, with a mission to bring research, education, and advocacy to individuals and organizations through 75 North American chapters. This is done through their online store, as well as a blog, newsletters, and events that can be subscribed to. SWCS also provides member benefits, such as: member profiles, directory, chapter notes and website development, awards, and scholarships.
Rotary Club of Ames
The Rotary Club of Ames is a part of a global organization of business and professional leaders committed to raising the standard quality of living through humanitarian efforts. To help organize local members of business and organizational leaders, this website provides a user account, wherein a member can create a profile and communicate with other members. Likewise, they can use the member database as a directory for finding other members, officers, and committees.
